Zumri heads Colombo Hockey Association

Former Sri Lanka Schools and Isipathana College hockey player, Ahamed Zumri was elected the President of Colombo Hockey Association ( CHA) at its 66th Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place in Colombo.

A unique feature in this committee was the appointment of a lady to the committee. Former Sri Lanka and Visakha College player, top class athlete representing Sri Lanka at many events and veteran banker, Vindhya Jayasuriya, was elected as the Assistant Secretary of CHA. She led her school hockey team in 1981 and later represented the national outfit for many years.
