Samsung Leads Lankan Youth to the Future with ‘Samsung Student Ambassador Programme’

SamsungSri Lanka,the most-loved electronics brand, recently unveiled another of its strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Samsung Student Ambassador Programme’ in Sri Lanka. The programme, designed for talented local government and private university students, aims to provide knowledge-driven opportunities and a plethora of other benefits. Furthermore, the programme creates a robust platform for local talent to hone their skills on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IOT), VR/AR (virtual reality/augmented reality) and other technologies to shape Sri Lanka’s future.

“Sri Lankan university students work hard to realise their dreams and pave the way for a better future. In that regard, Samsung Sri Lanka has made it its mission to empower and motivate them on their journeys. Our aim of conducting such an enthused and committed programme is to make a positive difference to society and contribute towards the betterment of society while reaching and interacting with the youth audience in government and private universities. The Student Ambassador Programme also aims to create emotional and professional relationships between the brand and university students of Sri Lanka and create a continuous, direct link between multi-talented Sri Lanka youth and Samsung,” said Mr. Kevin SungSuYOU , Managing Director, Samsung Sri Lanka.

The key activities for the selected students include career guidance programmes for its ambassadors, headed by industry experts, community development projects and volunteering services that contribute largely to societal goals, interactive workshops that enhance knowledge in Information Technology, photography, travel and tourism, media, fitness and gaming conducted by recognised experts, and other training programmes. These training programmes are committed to educating the students about the latest technology and innovations to keep abreast with the latest trends, discoveries and inventions.
