Rajasinghe Central advances to semi-finals

Rajasinghe Central, Hanwella advanced to the semi-final of the Under-19 Division Three Tier ‘A’ limited-over cricket tournament with a close six-run win over St. Mary’s Matugama in the quarterfinal encounter played at the Ananda Sastralaya ground Kotte yesterday.

Rajasinghe Central will meet Jaffna Central in the first semifinal scheduled to be played at Campbell Place, while Methodist High School, Moratuwa, will clash with Vidyaloka MV Galle in the second fixture at the same venue tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Ananda National School, Puttalam, Sri Sumangala MV, Kelaniya, Pannala National School and Hindu College, Matale booked their quarter-final berths in the Under-19 Division Three Tier ‘B’ limited-over cricket tournament by recording wins against Kalawana Central, Sri Rahula NS Alawwa, All Saint’s Galle and Sri Sumangala Central, Hikkaduwa in the pre-quarter final encounters played yesterday.
